Perched on a cliff edge looking out over the vast jade-green ocean, the Mayan city of Tulum is one of the most magical places on Earth. With all its sugar sands, nestled between the bosom of a tropical jungle, bright sun and good wind conditions almost all year round, makes it one of the top kiteboarding beaches in Mexico. Kitesurf Tulum surrounding areas feature several kite schools that include everything from kitesurfing courses to kite gear rentals. The sea is mainly flat, ideal for learning and practicing freestyle, whilst the outside reef provides great wave riding sessions in the right conditions. The town center sits on the main highway where most of the tourist facilities are located. The typical wind climate is dominated by winds directed from northeast to east-southeast 12 to 25 knots. Best kiting months are December to May.
