Lying to the east of Gran Canaria, nearly 100 km off the coast of Africa, Fuerteventura is a volcanic jewel lapped by some of the clearest seas in the entire universe. While the second largest island by area, remains the least densely populated and the most tranquil and laid back of all the Canaries. Its strong winds, coupled with the over 50 km of white sand beaches set the perfect backdrop for kiteboarding. Very well located at the north, between the kite beaches of Corralejo and Cotillo, the small village of Lajares hosts a number of kite-boarding shops and centers.
